The Gardens

The Gardens

Quiet gardens and a walkway surround the grounds with many shaded seating areas from which to enjoy the gardens.  The Historic House features a brick patio with a bubbling 3-tiered fountain.  A creek bed sets off the yard of The Bungalow and flows under the red bridge of the oriental garden and into a koi pond in front of The Studio House, which features another tiered fountain.  A large grassy expanse fills the central area in front of a large cedar pergola, perfect for small, quiet parties.  On a lazy Texas afternoon or evening, ask Keith for the rules for pitching washers in his back yard (like pitching horseshoes).

We are proud to be able to tell you that we have applied for status as an Urban Wildlife Habitat.  There are many types of birds, frogs, toads, and little lizards, as well as butterflies in season and little fish in the pond.  And the squirrels seem to think the place belongs to them!

Just wait until all of those new plants really get growing!
